The Girl Scout Cookie Program provides an important ingredient
for leadership by helping girls develop five key skills: Goal Setting,
Decision Making, Money Management, People Skills and Business Ethics.
These five skills are an important component of the Girl Scout Leadership
Girls earn Cookie Credit which may be used to discount the
cost of activities like day camp, resident camp, or other special events; and
for items purchased in the Girl Scout Store that will enrich her experience.
This credit accumulates throughout her years as a Girl Scout.
The Cookie Program also empowers girls themselves to decide
how to spend part of the proceeds – including ways to make the world a better
place and lead change in their communities. Active participation will
provide funds for the troop’s activities, and helps to underwrite the costs of
all council campsites, facilities and programs, making them affordable for all
