We believe every girl deserves the life-changing benefits of Girl Scouts!
Through staff-led, Community Development troops, we reach girls from under-served populations. The Girl Scout Leadership Experience is provided through council resources, volunteers, and generous donors.
The comprehensive education programs for girls K-12 include curriculum for the four pillars of Girl Scouts, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), Life Skills, Outdoors, and Entrepreneurship. Activities are designed to be girl-led, cooperative, and hands-on that create high quality experiences conducive to learning.
Community Development troops, in addition to the traditional Girl Scout curriculum, also learn essential life skills, such as coping skills, anger management, bullying prevention, financial literacy, and online safety.
When girls participate in Girl Scouts, they have five important outcomes: girls gain a strong sense of self, learn positive values, seek challenges and identify how to take appropriate risks, develop healthy relationships, and use problem solving skills and teamwork to discover, connect, and take action in their world.
