Successful completion of this course certifies an individual as a first aider. This course includes responding to an emergency, CPR skills, first aid and safety. You will be given an opportunity to practice using manikins, scenarios, and guidance from a trained instructor, then you will complete a performance examination. This course listing is for a blended learning course. Blended learning delivers a portion of the training in an online format, thus reducing the amount of time spent in the classroom. Certification is valid for two years.

Prerequisites: The ability to kneel and participate in physical activity. Prior to attending the in-person session, online content must be completed.  Allow 3-4 hours to complete the online portion of this course.

What to Bring: Paper, pen, your enthusiasm, and your Training Record Card.

About Blended Learning Courses:
Blended learning combines the convenience of online learning with a shortened practical skills session to meet both knowledge and skill objectives for learners and provides flexibility and self-control for the learner. Blended learning is an easy to use, self directed, active experience that appeals to many volunteers. Advanced registration is required to provide ample time to complete the online portion prior to the class. Students and instructors can automatically receive email notification regarding enrollment, follow-up, and completion associated with the training program. After registration deadline is closed, you will receive a video link via email 7-10 days prior to the class with instructions on how to complete the online portion. This link will come from and not from Girl Scouts so please remember to check your spam or junk folder. Students must successfully complete both the online and skills portions of Blended Training. Completion of the online portion alone will not result in a certification. The online portion must be completed prior to attending class.  Allow 3-4 hours to complete the online portion of this course. Failure to complete the online portion will remove the student from class and they will have to register and pay again for another class.
