Have you thought about starting a Lego Robotics team for your troop? Many GS Lego Robotics coaches begin their teams without any robotics experience at all. This two-hour course will teach you all the fundamentals to get your girls started. We will discuss the two levels of FIRST Lego League that our GSEOK council currently participates in, which are FLL Explore for 1st-4th grades and FLL Challenge for 4th-8th grades. During the course, we will cover the basics of brainstorming creative project ideas with your girls, building a robot (most teams start with step-by-step instructions!), and programming a robot with basic movements such as driving forward, backward, right, left, and more. By the end of the class, you will have a better understanding of whether coaching a GSEOK Sponsored Lego Robotics team this fall is something you want to pursue.
