The River Canoeing course is designed for canoeists who want to expand their knowledge and develop essential river paddling skills and maneuvers. Participants will learn to recognize river hazards, practice river safety techniques, and build the skills needed to navigate moving water safely.
Upon successful completion of this course, volunteers will be qualified to assist a certified River Canoeing Instructor during council river canoeing activities. This course does NOT qualify an individual to take girls canoeing on rivers without a certified river canoe instructor.
After the registration deadline, participants will receive a confirmation of the course location and a list of required and recommended items to bring.
This is an adult event, not a girl event.
