Why should my troop participate? toggle arrow

It’s one of the best ways for girls to start earning troop funds to cover the cost of troop activities and supplies.

Troops earn 20% for all their sales.

Last year the average amount earned by a girl was $63, enough to purchase 18 badges.

Using the online platform allows you to keep it simple and avoid handling cash.

The program is simple to set up online.

Girls take pride in knowing they earned funds to support their troop activities.

All proceeds stay local to support Girl Scouts in Eastern Oklahoma.

The fall product program provides girls with valuable skills, including customer service, organizing, creative problem-solving, money handling, marketing savvy, and goal setting. Whether taking online orders, or meeting customers in person, the fall product program gives girls the chance to put their skills into action, show off their Girl Scout spirit, and let their confidence soar as they interact with customers.

Explore the badge options for girls in your troop. View the Financial Literacy badges by level or you can filter for Girl Scout grade levels and topics with the Award and Badge Explorer.

Set a Troop Goal toggle arrow

The troop should set a goal for sales that ties directly to the troop plan for the year. Maybe they want to earn new badges, go camping or complete a service project. Be sure each girl and her family understand that their participation in the Fall Product Program helps them achieve a common goal. Keep everyone informed so they know how they are progressing towards their goal.

Get Families Involved toggle arrow

If the caregivers of your girls know the specific goal that the troop has set (i.e., how much they need to sell to earn their way to the awesome activities they have planned), they can better do their part to support and encourage the girls. Plan a family meeting before the season begins, with both caregivers and girls in attendance, to ensure that all caregivers know key dates and goals/expectations for the program. Bonus points if you let your girls do the talking!

Where does the money go? toggle arrow

All proceeds stay in Eastern Oklahoma. Council proceeds help to underwrite the costs of all council programs, facilities, and campsites - to keep costs affordable for troops and girls. When girls sell fall products, they contribute to the overall good of the council.

FYI – The yearly membership fee goes to the national organization to provide support to councils across the county. Selling Fall Products and Girl Scout Cookies allows the local council to support girls in their area.
