  • Camper Training - Get the basics! This course lays the foundation of camping with girls in a safe environment with some basic amenities. Completion allows you to take your troop to GSEOK campsites.
  • Camper Training Waiver - Are you an experienced camper? Apply for the wavier.
  • Archery Training - Think of the prestige you would have as a National Archery Association Archery Instructor! This course qualifies you to use GSEOK archery ranges and equipment with Girl Scouts in grades 4-12.
  • Rappelling - Challenge yourself with a rappelling session sponsored by GSEOK's Outdoor Adventure group. This course will get you excited about introducting climbing and rappelling to your troops.
  • Level 1 and 2 Canoeing - It's adventure time on the water! Get prepared to take girls canoeing on flat, protected water with council approval. Learn the basic paddling strokes, canoe safety, and council procedures.

Check out the following videos which are specially tailored for volunteers (or even older Girl Scouts) working with Daisies, Brownies, or Juniors. Covering topics like setting up a campsite, camp cookery, cleaning up, and more, these videos are a great resource for planning and outside adventure and getting girls and adults excited about heading outdoors.

  • Safety Basics Blended/Refresher (Medic Pediatric Plus) - You'll be a hero! Respond to an emergency. Perform CPR. Administer first aid. But most of all, you'll know how to keep girls safe in the first place. Certification is valid for two years. A refresher course may be completed between full courses. The full course is required every four years.
  • Wilderness First Aid - You can get certified as a wilderness first aider if current CPR certification is also held. This is required when you are 30 minutes or more from emergency services and for activities as indicated by the Safety Activity Checkpoints. Certification is valid for three years.
  • Medic Safety Instructor - Need more safety trainings in your area? Become certified to teach the Safety Basics Blended/Refresher course to other volunteers in your community. The council always needs volunteer safety trainers!
  • ASHI Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) Instructors Course - Share the love...and the skill! With this course, you will be able to teach girls and certify them in ASHI Child and Babysitting Safety. Certification is valid for two years.
  • Robotics - Do you have girls in your troop who are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math? If so, this 2-hour course will teach you what you need to know to coach a FIRST Lego League (4th-8th grade) or Junior FIRST Lego League (K-3rd grade) team!
  • Astronomy - Reach for the stars! Get trained to conduct a stellar session that will brig the universe right into the hands of girls. Additional resources will be supplied.
  • Take Action - How do you help girls transfer their passions into making a real difference? Take Action projects! This training will cover the project requirements of the prestigious Girl Scout Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards and is required for leaders prior to working with the girls on any awards. Any leader may attend.
  • I am a Recruiter - No time? Train online! In just 30 minutes you will be ready to plan community events and rallies.
  • Site Orientation - We are fortunate to have a wide array of campsites and overnight facilities. This variety makes progression in camping easier for girls and leaders. Whether campers are novices or experts and want the comforts of home to rustic or even rugged, GSEOK has something for you! Site orientation by the troop leader or troop camper is required before using a council facility.

During a site orientation adults are able to become familiar with the layout and features of each facility as well as safety procedures. Keep in mind that council facilities are constantly changing to meet the needs of girls, so we strongly suggest sites be revisited every five years.

Virtual Site Orientations are available for Camp Polly. You may check out the DVDs from the council Service Center and complete a questionnaire. For more information contact your service unit manager or the Girl Scout Store at or 918-745-5252.

All site orientations are by appointment on an as-needed basis. To arrange an orientation, contact
