Ocean Explorers: A Girl Scout Voyage

Dive into an ocean of adventure! Campers will explore the wonders of the sea, discovering marine life, creating ocean-themed crafts, and enjoying water-based activities. Get ready for a week of fun, friendship, and exciting discoveries beneath the waves! GSEOK's day camp gives Girl Scouts exciting opportunities to try new things, explore nature, learn songs, get creative, and make friends while enjoying the great outdoors!

  • Girl Scouts must have completed Kindergarten to attend day camp and must be registered members.
  • Incoming 6th grade Cadettes at this day camp will earn their Leader in Action (LiA) award. LiA's will work with Daisy, Brownie, and Junior units on leadership activities throughout the week. This award is a prerequisite to Program Aide Training.
  • Incoming 7th grade Cadettes at this day camp (who have already earned their LiA) will complete Program Aide Training. Training includes an overnight campout on Thursday night (please register accordingly). This training is a prerequisite to earning their Program Aide pin.
  • Incoming 8th grade Cadettes at this day camp will complete specialty training and/or work in a unit to earn their Program Aide pin, depending on where they are in their leadership journey. Specialty training includes an overnight campout on Thursday night (please register accordingly). All prerequisites for earning the Program Aide pin must be met before entering 9th grade as it is a Cadette only award.
  • Are you a Cadette, Senior, or Ambassador that has already earned your LiA, completed GSEOK's Program Aide Training, and/or HND's specialty training? Sign up to be a Program Aide! Program Aide's are invited to attend the overnight campout on Thursday night. If your camper would like to attend, please register accordingly.

Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma's daycamps aredesigned and facilitated by volunteers in your local community.

Those that volunteer to staff our day camps are required to complete a GSEOK online training and attend their day camp's mandatory, in-person site training prior to camp. Commitment will then include 5 days of day camp and usually planning/prepping time (varying hours) to ready camp for our Girl Scouts.

Savethe date! Hill-N-Dale's pre-camp site training for volunteer staff will beheld April 17, 2025.

Volunteers who complete their full commitment-including training requirements and all five full days at day camp-will receive a reduced rate of $35 for each Girl Scout relative registered.

If you're signing up to volunteer, please select the discounted Girl Scout's registration.

Additionally, a tagalong unit is available for preschool-aged and young male children of volunteers. More information will be relayed once registered and closer to summer.
