Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors

Join us and explore the fun of horseback riding at Camp Tallchief! This two-hour session is a great beginner horse experience in a safe and fun atmosphere. Girls will learn about the basics of horse safety, steering and have some fun while getting comfortable in the saddle! Girl Scout Brownies (entering second grade) and above will learn how to control a horse and then steer their own horse around the arena. Girls will practice how to start, steering and stoping their horse.

This is a troop event. Girls must attend with their leader or a parent/guardian.  Leaders must follow all guidelines for a daytime activity including adult/girl ratio. Leaders must have attended Beyond the Meeting Training and have signed permission slips.  No tagalongs.

Riders must wear longs pants (preferably jeans) and boots with a 1/2" heel.
