Council approval is necessary to ensure the safety and appropriateness of troop trips. Troop trip proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria: Leader Training, safety measures, budgeting and financial responsibilities, and compliance with Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma policies and guidelines. Upon submission of the required documentation, troop trip proposals will undergo review by the council to assess compliance with approval criteria. Approved trips will receive authorization from the council to proceed as planned.
A Volunteer with current First Aider/CPR/AED certification is REQUIRED for all activities away from your normal troop meeting. Wilderness First Aid or Wilderness First Responder is required if EMS response is more than 30 minutes.
Trips lasting 4 nights or more require an initial intent submission and approval. After initial approval, additional forms are required before the trip.
Below are the outlined due dates, required forms, and criteria for obtaining council approval.
