We’re proud to celebrate one of our own—Reva Mahajan of Troop 969—who was named a 2023 recipient of the national GSUSA Gold Award Scholarship.
Each year, this prestigious award recognizes one outstanding Gold Award Girl Scout per council, and we’re thrilled that Reva is representing Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma on the national stage.
For her Gold Award project, “Animals of Oklahoma,” Reva created an educational pamphlet accessible via QR code, designed to help Oklahomans of all ages learn more about the state’s native wildlife. Her guide includes photos, lifecycles, diet information, and fun facts—making nature more approachable and engaging for anyone curious about the outdoors.
Reva has been a Girl Scout for 11 years, demonstrating leadership, creativity, and a strong commitment to community service. She recently graduated and plans to study science and engineering at university.
Reva’s project is a perfect example of what Girl Scouts can accomplish: leading with curiosity, giving back, and building a better world.
