Three Girl Scouts from Troop 7158 in Bixby spent more than two years developing an interactive map of Washington Irving Park as part of their Silver Award project—one of the highest honors a Girl Scout Cadette can earn.
The project includes a detailed digital guide to the park’s trees, memorial sites, and walking trails. Visitors can use the map on-site or online to learn about the significance of each tree, its history, and its connection to the community.
This is Girl Scouts in action. By identifying a local need and committing their time and talents to address it, Adrienne, Jackie, and Ella have made a lasting impact on their community—while building skills in leadership, research, and collaboration.
