When cookie season meets construction class, something pretty sweet happens.
Construction students at Union High School are putting the final touches on a one-of-a-kind mobile “cookie house” designed to help Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma sell cookies comfortably during cold or rainy weather. Inspired by a similar project in Alaska, this Tulsa version is expected to be the only cookie house of its kind in the Lower 48.
The build began in fall 2023 at Union’s Innovation Lab, where students have worked under the guidance of teachers David Langston and Trey Osborne to ensure the mobile booth meets all necessary building and electrical codes. Once completed, it will serve as a rolling cookie stand—bringing warmth, visibility, and a touch of flair to Girl Scout cookie season.
This mobile booth is more than just a place to sell cookies. It’s a testament to innovation, education, and the power of community partnerships—all coming together to support the leadership journey of girls.
