Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma is going to Italy and Switzerland in July 2025. Spend 16-19 days exploring all the unique sites in Italy & Switzerland. See amazing historical locations in Italy or the beautiful countryside. Finish the trip off with a visit to one of the WAGGGS World Centres in Aberdeen, Switzerland. The fun-part is girls get to decide everything we get to do and see on this trip.
During Girl-only meetings travelers get to research places to stay, things to see, transportation options, and make sure the trip is staying on budget. The Italy & Switzerland travel troop will meet every-other month until August 2024 and then will meet every month until the trip. Meeting dates are given well in advance once trip selections are made. Travelers are expected to not miss more than 2 meetings per Girl Scout year (Oct - Sept). We will have specific required meetings that you must attend.
Girl Scout's must be 15 years old by June 1, 2025 to attend this
opportunity.
Cost of the trip is $3,800 with a $200
non-refundable deposit. All girls selected for the trip must adhere
the follow payment schedule/cancellation policy
- Program Fee for trip includes a non-refundable deposit due at time of trip selection
- Half of the trip cost ($1900) is due August 31, 2024. Payment in full is due 60 days prior to trip
- If you chose to cancel your trip, your refund will vary
based upon how soon the trip is occurring. Your deposit is
non-refundable under any circumstances. Any portion of a Girl
Scout's trip fee that has already been spent, will not be refunded.
EX. If plane tickets have already been purchased, the value of those
tickets will be deducted from your refund
- 240 days prior to trip. 75% refund of trip fee, less deposit and any portion of paid trip fees that has already been spent.
- 90-240 days prior to trip. 50% refund of trip fees paid, less deposit and any portion of paid trip fees that has already been spent
- 90 days prior to trip. No refunds will be given
- If Girl Scout cancels the trip, any funds earned through travel troop or money-earning opportunities stay with the travel troop
After paying the initial deposit girls can use Cookie Credit to pay the remainder of the fee. The travel group also plans and participates in extra money-earning projects. Girls may also apply for a travel scholarship through council.
