Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma was excited to partner with ABB and Conoco Phillips in Bartlesville on Wednesday, September 23, as part of the Bartlesville Regional United Way Day of Caring. Together, we helped bring a brand-new STEAM lab to life at the Bartlesville Service Unit.
With some of the demolition already complete and the space ready for its next chapter, GSEOK, ABB, and Conoco Phillips team members spent the day giving the room a fresh new look. Volunteers painted the space in bright, fun colors and assembled furniture that will soon help transform the room into a welcoming place for Girl Scouts to explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through hands-on activities and engaging programming.
“This project is about so much more than updating a room. It’s about creating opportunities for girls to discover new interests and see themselves in fields they may have never considered before. We’re incredibly grateful to ABB for helping us bring that vision to life.”
— Martin Bynum, Girl Experience Manager, STEAM, Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma
