Celebrating Gold Award Girl Scout: Eva Mahajan

Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma is proud to celebrate Eva Mahajan, a recent Jenks High School graduate and recipient of the prestigious Gold Award, the highest honor a Girl Scout can earn.

Eva began her Girl Scout journey as a Daisy at age 11 and dedicated over 80 hours to her Gold Award project, Leap. This peer-led program connects elementary students in the English Language Learners department with high school volunteers. In its first year alone, Leap facilitated over 1,000 letters exchanged and engaged more than 200 participants across multiple schools in Jenks.

Through Girl Scouts, Eva discovered confidence, leadership, and a passion for community. She earned the Juliette Lowe Scholarship and the GSUSA Scholarship — an honor shared by just one girl per council. Eva credits Girl Scouts with providing the skills and support that helped shape her path toward future opportunities.

This fall, Eva begins her next adventure at Brown University, where she plans to study economics and international affairs. We can’t wait to see all the ways she continues to make an impact both locally and globally.

Congratulations, Eva, on your incredible achievements as a Gold Award Girl Scout!
