Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma Receives 2026 Pinnacle Award for Advancing Women in the Workplace
We’re proud to announce that we have been selected as a recipient of the 2026 YWCA Tulsa Pinnacle Award, an honor that celebrates organizations and individuals who are driving meaningful progress for women in leadership, equity, and opportunity!
This prestigious recognition reflects GSEOK’s longstanding commitment to empowering women and girls, both within our organization and throughout the communities we serve. The award will be formally presented at the YWCA Pinnacle Awards Banquet on March 27th, 2026, where leaders across the Tulsa area will gather to celebrate those lifting up women in bold and transformative ways. As part of our dedication to fair and equitable workplaces, GSEOK is also proud to have signed a Pay Equity Pledge, further underscoring our commitment to transparency and wage equality.
GSEOK was nominated for the Pinnacle Award based on the organization’s deep-rooted culture of empowerment, equity, and leadership development for women. With women making up 100% of C-suite officers, 90% of staff, 89% of our board, and 100% of our board executives, GSEOK models the values we instill in the girls we serve. Our workplace prioritizes growth and opportunity, encouraging women to pursue leadership training, mentorship, and community engagement that expand their skills and influence. Our programming reaches more than 3,000 girls across 30 counties each year, strengthening the pipeline of future female leaders by helping girls build courage, confidence, and character.
Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are central to how GSEOK operates. The organization is reinvigorating its Belonging & Inclusion Committee to support equitable hiring and promotion, strengthen staff training, and provide space for meaningful dialogue across the team. The committee works to identify barriers, recommend improvements, and help ensure that every employee feels valued, supported, and heard, regardless of background. This intentional focus on inclusion allows GSEOK to cultivate a workplace where collaboration and respect are foundational, and where every team member can thrive. GSEOK remains steadfast in advancing opportunities for women today and for generations to come!
